From VivoCity, hop the Sentosa Express to the island; I loved the Skyline Luge and the beaches, with Universal Studios nearby.

Last visit, I did a one-day Sentosa run. I took the MRT to HarbourFront, walked through VivoCity, and hopped on the Sentosa Express from Level 3. The ride is quick and drops you at Imbiah Station; a few minutes’ walk to the attractions. If you want even more scenic entry, ride the cable car from Mount Faber for panoramic views before landing on the island. What's worth doing? Universal Studios Singapore is the obvious big ticket, great rides and quirky parades. I also loved the Luge & Skyride for a goofy thrill and sunset views from the Skyride. The SEA Aquarium is huge and calming after a hot day. Wings of Time is a sunset/night show with drones and fire I remember as magical. For a slower pace, Palawan Beach and Fort Siloso give a sense of the island's history. If you prefer beach vibes, Siloso Beach has laid-back cafes and weekend volleyball. Tips: go early on weekends, consider a multi-attraction pass, bring sunscreen and water, and wear comfy shoes. If you're there for sunset, a cable car ride is unbeatable.

From central Singapore, HarbourFront is your gateway. Take the MRT to HarbourFront (NE/CC line) and either walk the Sentosa Boardwalk or hop on the Sentosa Express from VivoCity to Beach Station. If you want views, ride a cable car from Mount Faber or HarbourFront.

What’s worth doing? I got my thrills at Universal Studios Singapore, go early and hit the big rides right away. The Skyline Luge Sentosa is a must for a fun, windy ride. I loved Palawan Beach for the little bridge to the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia, and Fort Siloso for an easy WWII history stroll. End with Wings of Time if you’re there at night; great light show. Pack water and comfortable shoes.

From Singapore, I found the Sentosa Express from VivoCity to Beach Station easiest, or I grabbed a taxi to ride the cable car from Mount Faber for sweeping city views. On Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore and the S.E.A. Aquarium are musts; I loved the Skyline Luge and Wings of Time. Watch sunset with a drink at Palawan Beach.
